On Monday, Barack Obama made his first public appearance since leaving office in January!
The former President visited University of Chicago to speak to the students about community involvement of the next generation, and we could only imagine what else.
It’s no wonder he had the institution AND “President Obama” trending on Twitter, as he told the crowd:
“The single most important thing I can do is prepare next generation to take their crack at changing the world.”
Obviously, we hoped the 55-year-old would make any remarks about Donald Trump as it comes the same week POTUS hits his 100-day mark in office… and well, he expertly avoided it!
There were some hints though as he brought up getting news from social media (as in possible fake news), immigration, and the “cutthroat” business of having a clothing line (cough cough, Ivanka Trump).
Watching Obama speak at the University of Chicago. Refreshing to see a thoughtful, compassionate leader address pertinent issues coherently.
